New to orienteering? This is the event to start with. 

 

Westmoreland Sanctuary

Annual 3 for 1 Saturday Oct 12th

Starts from 9.30 to 12:30

 

3 for 1 has two beginners courses Whit/Yellow and one intermediate Orange

Note that the distances below are the direct straight line distance between controls – your actual path will be considerably longer.

White is 1.6km with 12 controls all controls are either on or to the side of trails, or, if off trail the way is ribboned.

Yellow is 2.2km with 12 controls – controls are a mixture of on and off trails, if off trail then the way to the control follows a stream or wall.

Orange is 2.7km with 13 controls: while some controls have handrails the course does have route choices between many controls.

Advanced courses are:

Brown 3.5km with 12 controls

Green 5.4km with 10 controls

Red 6.8km with 14 controls”
