Westmoreland Sanctuary Annual 3 for 1, Saturday June 12th.
Westmoreland Sanctuary and HVO are again joining together for their annual 3 for 1.
New to the sport – this is the one for you – some easy courses and instruction available.
Experienced and think you know Westmoreland – don’t be too sure – there are still spots you haven’t visited -yet
Either way, come along to Westmoreland Sanctuary, look at the animals, run a course or two and enjoy nature.
“3 for 1” has two beginners courses White/Yellow and one intermediate Orange, do one course – if you like it try another – no extra charge.
Course 1, White, is 2.1 km with 7 controls
All controls are on or close to trails.
Course 2 Yellow, is 2.3 km with 10 controls
Controls are mostly close to trails but where they are not there is a wall or stream to follow ("handrail")
Course 3 Orange, is 3.0 km with 8 controls.
This is more difficult - While controls are close to trails or have "handrails" there are sometimes alternative routes you can take to the controls.
Note that the course distance is the straight line distance from control point to control point - you will actually travel longer.
There will also be the usual advanced courses:
Brown is 3.7km with 9 controls
Green is 5.0 km. with 11 controls
Red is 6.2 km with 16 controls.
There is advanced registration and usual Covid prevention procedures - who knows, we may be all vaccinated by then!
Beginner instruction available at 10:00, 10:30 and 11:00.
