Event Description
 

The Hudson Highlander is an ultimate test of navigation and endurance. Metric marathon, in beautiful Harriman State Park is not for the faint of heart. You will battle rugged Harriman terrain, mountain laurel, and blueberry bushes while trying to keep your head cool for navigation, and it will be technical. Following is permitted. 

Instructions for Day of the Event

Please pick up your bibs and SI sticks starting from 7:30 a.m.

The walk to the start will begin at 8:10 a.m. sharp.

Amenities

  • Bathroom facilities available.

  • Clothes drop is available at the start.

  • A scrumptious BBQ will be available at the Silvermine event center.

  • Parking space is abundant.

Courses

There is a highlander and lowlander course this year.

Both courses will close at 4:30pm. However, individual maps will be closing before 4:30pm.

Highlander

 

  • Total Distance 26.1 km; climb 865 m (trail run is about 245 m additional)

  • Comprises 3 maps plus a trail run between maps 1 and 2.

  • 8 hour max. course time, but see course notes for interim time limits.

  • Highlanders should drop any personal snacks at event central before walking to the start

Lowlander

 

  • Distance 12.2 km; climb 465 m

  • Comprises 2 maps plus a trail run between maps 1 and 2. 

  • 8 hour max. course time, but see course notes for interim time limits.

  • Lowlanders should bring any personal snacks with you to the start, there will be a snack drop-off point along the way to the start.
