Perfect weather for the annual JROTC Championships, cool but dry and sunny, which, combined with the open woods, meant some satisfying running on the advanced courses.

We finally had about 100 teams of 2 for the JROTC competitive and non-competive courses.

​

The turnout for the advanced courses was disappointing (28) considering the weather, the venue and the course setter.

​

Thanks to all those who helped – Craig for setting up the pre-registration and operating the computer – a successful conversion to OE software, and Peter for also helping on downloads ect..

Betsy, Chris, Nadia on registration – and Betsy for bring the box of apples. Dave, Bob and Jeff on starts which seem to go off with less hassle than normal for JROTC, and George (and Jeff initially) for handling the parking.

Lena, Andy, David O, and the Trysons helped with control pickup, as did my dog Duke on Sunday morning in the rain when he sniffed out the control box that had been dropped the day before. Here he is hot on the scent.

 

 And of courses thanks to Niels O for spending many hours setting and resetting the courses.
